3- To tease, or say unpleasant things to (a person) in a cruel way. ..... taunt

4- The act of beginning. ..... dawning

5- To make someone very surprised. ..... astound

6- One of forty equal parts. ... fortieth

7- A person who lives in a room or rooms, for which he pays, in someone else's house. ..... lodger

8- A kind of knitting stitch. ..... purl

9- A long large wave on the sea. ..... roller

2- The eggs of fish, frogs etc. (p n s w) 1 spawn = frai.
3- To tease, or say unpleasant things to (a person) in a cruel way. (t t n) 2 taunt = se moquer de.
4- The act of beginning. (w n n d g) dawning = aube, commencement, début.
5- To make someone very surprised. (t d s n) 3 astound = stupéfait.
6- One of forty equal parts. (t r h f t) 3 fortieth = quarantième.
7- A person who lives in a room or rooms, for which he pays, in someone else's house. (d r g l) 2 lodger = locataire.
8- A kind of knitting stitch. (r p l) 1 purl = maille à l'envers.
9- A long large wave on the sea. (l l r r) 2 roller = rouleau.
