Find the missing vowels and unscramble the consonants in order to get the right word.

5- (A sound like) the call of a hen. ..... (c c k l) 1
6- The situation etc resulting from an important, especially unpleasant, event. ..... (m f t h r t) 3

Here is my work:
1- Easily seen by the eye or understood by the mind; obvious. (f t m n s) 3 manifest = évident.
2- (Of a landscape) having low hills and shallow valleys, without steep slopes. (l r g l n) 2 rolling = vallonné.
3- A long narrow ditch dug in the ground, especially as a protection for soldiers against gunfire. (c t r h n) 1 trench = tranchée.
4- Great confusion or panic. (l f p) 1 flap = agitation, panique.
5- (A sound like) the call of a hen. (c c k l) 1 cluck = gloussement.
6- The situation etc resulting from an important, especially unpleasant, event. (m f t h r t) 3 aftermath = suites, conséquences.
7- To cause to think or act in an abnormal way. (r w p) 1 warp = déformer, transformer, voiler, gauchir.
8- Something that weighs people down, or prevents them being free. (k y) 2 yoke = joug.
9- The book of accounts of an office or shop. (g l d r) 2 ledger = livre de comptes.
10- To put aside, usually for consideration, completion etc later. (l h v s) 2 shelve = mettre en sommeil, en suspens.

6- The situation etc resulting from an important, especially unpleasant, event. ..... AFTERMATH
7- To cause to think or act in an abnormal way. .... WARP
8- Something that weighs people down, or prevents them being free. ..... YOKE
9- The book of accounts of an office or shop. ..... LEDGER
10- To put aside, usually for consideration, completion etc later. ..... SHELVE
Oh Marit ! This exercise was difficult, particularly for the n°s 2, 6 and 10. I had to look for a long time to find the solution ! But the difficulty is part of the exercise, isn't it ?
