Find the missing vowels and unscramble the consonants in order to get the right word.
All the numbers of vowels are given.
1- To pack or fill tightly, often hurriedly or untidily. ..... (f f s t) 1
2- To give (especially a title, award etc) to someone. ..... (w b t s) 2
3- A length of hair arranged by dividing it into sections and passing these over one another in turn. ..... (l t p) 2
4- To shout at or laugh at rudely or mockingly. ..... (r j) 2
5- Not hurrying; taking plenty of time. ..... (s l r l) 5
6- A long narrow row of hills. ..... (d r g) 2
7- Having or showing knowledge. ..... (h s l l r c) 3
8- Helpless; defeated by emotion etc. ..... (c r v m) 4

Here is my work:
1- To pack or fill tightly, often hurriedly or untidily. (f f s t) 1 stuff = fourrer, s'empiffrer.
2- To give (especially a title, award etc) to someone. (w b t s) 2 bestow = décerner.
3- A length of hair arranged by dividing it into sections and passing these over one another in turn. (l t p) 2 plait = une tresse.
4- To shout at or laugh at rudely or mockingly. (r j) 2 jeer = railler.
5- Not hurrying; taking plenty of time. (s l r l) 5 leisurely = nonchalant.
6- A long narrow row of hills. (d r g) 2 ridge = crête.
7- Having or showing knowledge. (h s l l r c) 3 scholarly = érudit, savant.
8- Helpless; defeated by emotion etc. (c r v m) 4 overcome = surmonter.
9- Among or in the center of. (d t m s) 1 midst = au milieu de.
10- Very great anger. (r f) 2 fury = fureur, colère.
