Here is my work:
1- To raise the top lip at one side in a kind of smile that expresses scorn. (r s n) 2 sneer = ricaner.
2- A heavy stick or club. (d l c g) 2 cudgel = bâton, gourdin.
3- In football, hockey etc, to (try to) take the ball etc from (a player in the other team). (k t c l) 2 tackle = plaquer.
4- (Of people) difficult to persuade or control; always doing or wanting to do what they themselves want. (g h r d s n t) 3 headstrong = forte tête ??? .
5- A fruit with a sharp taste, used in making jam etc. (c q n) 3 quince = coing.
6- A box found in public places, into which letters are posted to be collected by a postman. (l l x p b r) 3 pillarbox = boîte à lettres.
7- To wait in hiding for and make a surprise attack on. (b h m s) ambush = tendre une embuscade/un get-apens.
8- A very strong desire. (l s t) 1 lust = lubricité, luxure, désir profond.
9- To lean or lie on one's back or side. (c r n l) recline = être allongé.
10- Material made in the form of a net. (t g n t n) 2 netting = filet, grillage, tulle.
