Find the missing vowels and unscramble the consonants in order to get the right word.

All the numbers of vowels are given.

2- A large drinking-glass or mug. ..... (k b r) 3

3- Apart or at a distance from other people. ..... (f l) 3

4- Fitting as tightly as one's skin. ..... (n t t - k g s h) 2

5- A blue-flowered plant. ..... (f w c r r l n) 3

6- To try to find out about something that is secret, especially other people's affairs. ..... (r p) 1

Here is my work:
1- To wait about or keep oneself hidden (often for a bad purpose). (k k s l) 1 skulk = rôder.
2- A large drinking-glass or mug. (k b r) 3 beaker = gobelet.
3- Apart or at a distance from other people. (f l) 3 aloof = à l'écart, distant, réservé.
4- Fitting as tightly as one's skin. (n t t - k g s h) 2 skin-tight (UK) = skintight (US) = moulant, serré.
5- A blue-flowered plant. (f w c r r l n) 3 cornflower = bleuet, centaurée bleue.
6- To try to find out about something that is secret, especially other people's affairs. (r p) 1 pry = fouiner.
7- To cut and gather (corn etc). (p r) 2 reap = moissonner.
8- To give more information to (a person). (h l n n g t) 3 enlighten = éclairer la lanterne de qqn...
9- A rich and powerfull businessman. (c t n) 3 tycoon = magnat.
10- An ugly old woman. (g h) 1 hag = vieille peau, vieille sorcière. (Moche et pas sympa !)
