Hi,
Both words mean the same thing. The difference is only when you have to use it... 'Seems' is just used with the 3rd-person

Juste une petite modification de la réponse de sheepishly 'Seems' is just used with the 3rd-person plural
Comme tous les autres verbes, un s est ajouté quand le sujet est la troisième personne du singulier Alors, it/he/she seems

Seem/seems can actually be used in 1st, 2nd or 3rd person. Here are some examples:
1st person - "I did not sleep last night. I probably seem a little tired to you."
2nd person - "Yes, you don't seem to have any energy today. You really do seem tired to me."
3rd person: "They both should go to bed. Both of them seem tired to me. "
