Hello very dear Marit and nice team !
How fast you are ! Or ...I was slow posting my latest answers ! Therefore , I was not wrong : you are a 'French ' Canadian , so no need for lessons !
Many thanks for this new 'grid ' ! Here we go !
1 ) a posy, a lovely word like Rosy -Rosie , Bristol's female elephant , 'a nice little thing !'
2 ) to nestle [' nsl] like to cuddle Beware of the cuckoo , Birdie !
2 ) a nail brush ( trimming nails and creaming hands every day : what a chore I find it ! .
3 ) an inhabitant ( like Latin preposition 'in' for the location), less difficult than saying fluently 'in an uninhabited house '
4 ) to undergo ( was a very nasty hospital word for me in 2014)
5 ) a gravestone ( supposed to be heavy )
6 ) some respite ( rather rare , for rest , break and relief) [ ri'spt ]
7 ) a prow [ 'pr ] archaic [ 'pr] from French ; have you seen photos of reconstructed 'Hermione ' ( a replica) ? La Fayette sailing to the States
8 ) woodwork like a typical 'cabane au Canada' , non ?
9 ) peep-hole or peephole ) Do people have that fixed on their front-doors ? How do you happen to use this word , Marit ?! That's naughty and more for men in certain places , isn't it ?As far as I know !
And that is it , for today ! Quite pleasant to play with you and fellows ! Do take care everywhere ! Hope you are quite fine and going to spend a nice week !
